I write so I will not forget who I am, where I am going, or who I hope to become. I write so I can get the clutter of words out of my head, and fashioned into something more palpable. I write so I can take the pressing hand of desperation and despair from off my throbbing heart and put it to good use on a page. I am depth, darkness, understanding, sincerity, lightness, empathy, courage, fear, and much more. I will not pretend to have a perfect life. I will not pretend to be a perfect soul in the middle of a trial. I will be vulnerable and shed light on the many facets that make up a complex person.
